Thursday, March 25th, 2021 Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board released the "Post Pandemic Scenario Planning Report (2020-2022) - London Economic Region" through a webinar event held between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. EST. The project offers decisional support for the post pandemic economic and labour market recovery. The scenario planning project was adopted by nine workforce planning boards in Southwestern Ontario, members of the Workforce Planning West consortium, in a larger effort to help with the post pandemic workforce planning in Southwestern Ontario.

Annual Review of the London Economic Region Labour Market (2019-2020)

This report presents an annual review of the labour market performance in the London Economic Region in 2019-2020. The first part of the document looks at the regional labour market conditions before the start of COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting a few structural factors that will shape the labour market recovery post COVID-19. The second part of the report offers a bird eye view on the business and workforce’s challenges faced by employers in the London Economic Region after the COVID-19 pandemic’s official recognition (March 2020). A few follow-up recommendations are advanced.
