Labour Force Participation in London Economic Region – Follow-up study 2019

This report presents an investigation of the labour force participation in the London Economic Region. It extends the study done by Sanchez-Keane and Zonruiter (2017, February) through recent access to custom order data from Census 2016 as well as more recent data from the Labour Force Survey and other sources. Authors of the document attempt a comprehensive review of the factors influencing labour force participation in the London Economic Region, geography including Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties in the province of Ontario. In sequential order, the document reveals answers to the basic research questions: What is investigated? Is it unique? Who is affected? Why is this happening? And, how can it be corrected?
