Supporting Manufacturing in London

Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure announced today December 4, 2015 that the province is assisting Starlim North America and Poly-Nova Technologies Limited Partnership to expand their operations in London and Guelph, creating 24 new jobs and retaining 160 positions over the next four years.

Starlim/Sterner, a multinational corporation, is a leading manufacturer of silicone and rubber products with applications in various industries such as automotive, healthcare, electronics and sanitation.

Ontario is investing $1.5 from the Southwestern Development Fund to help the company consolidate and grow its operations in London (Starlim North America) and upgrade machinery and equipment in Guelph (Poly-Nova Technologies). As the announcement indicates, “the project has a value of around $20 million and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2019.”

Attracting new investment to southwestern Ontario is among the main goals of the current government’s economic strategy.
